Simon Gmajner
Before joining Kapelica Gallery (Kersnikova Institute), Simon Gmajner studied International Relations at the Faculty of Political Sciences. For 7 years , he worked for a market research company and for the past 9 years he worked mainly in the cultural sector. Firstly, for an institution operating in the field of fine art and one of the largest children’s worldwide art competition. Holding a position of Assistant Director, he was deeply involved in all aspects of work, including being an Assistant Editor for the World of Art Magazine. Later on, he worked abroad for a shorter period of time (Turkey) as an assistant to the Slovene Honorary Consul, working on projects related to art and investments. Upon returning to Slovenia, he mostly worked in design and marketing before joining the Kapelica team in 2012. Here he is involved in multiple aspects of art production, with his main field of work being fundraising and project development.
